Flux in 3D

Electric flux counts how much of a field pokes through a surface. It is not just the field and the area — the angle matters too. Drag the scene to look around, then tilt the surface, change its area, change the field, and watch the flux. Face the field for the most flux; turn edge-on and it falls to zero.

Drag the scene to orbit the camera The slider tilts the surface, not the view Φ = ∫ E·dA over the surface

θ is the angle between the field direction and the surface’s normal (the arrow sticking out of it).
