Check the Dimensions

Every physical equation must have matching dimensions on both sides — you cannot equate a length to a time. Pick an equation on the left and see the dimensional formula of each side worked out, and whether they agree. Some of these are deliberately wrong.

What this can and cannot do

If the dimensions do not match, the equation is certainly wrong. But if they do match, the equation is only possibly right — dimensional analysis cannot catch a missing pure number (like a ½ or a 2π), because pure numbers have no dimensions.
